Our restaurant
Located within Arequipa’s historic center, opposite the beautiful Plaza San Francisco, the Zig Zag Restaurant is the perfect place to enjoy a different kind of gastronomical lunch or dinner, discover new wines from our cellar, in cozy surroundings, which include an antique iron staircase designed by the famous French architect Gustave Alexandre Eiffel.
Our gastronomy
Zig Zag Restaurant, with its Alpandina Gastronomy, offers a creative culinary fusion deeply rooted in the mountains, where the sunshine fills the foodstuffs with balanced nutrients. This harmony between nature and signature cuisine is reflected in our great specialties: meats and fish cooked on volcanic stone, exotic salads, Alpine roesti and other original gastronomic options.
Meet the owners
The Alpandina culinary concept was specially created by Michel Hediger, our restaurateur and chef of Swiss origin who, together with his wife Carola Behrendt, of German origin, have developed a signature a cuisine during their years of residence in Peru. This offers you the chance to enjoy different types of dishes and ingredients from the Coastal, Andean and Amazon regions of this exciting country, in an exclusive, healthy and very natural style.
